A banknote, or even a large value cheque, is securely locked into a clear
plastic frame with WONDERLOCK. The lock will only open with
one of the five keys supplied. This can be demonstrated
before snapping the lock shut if required. The keys are handed out to
random audience members, keeping any key back for the performer. The keys
are then tried in the lock by the audience members with keys. AT ANY TIME
the key kept back for the performer can be exchanged. Even so, after all
the audience’s keys have been tried and will not open the lock, the
performer’s key WILL OPEN IT!

In the past, similar effects have "failed" causing embarassment and sometimes even the loss of the money for some magicians. WONDERLOCK is a precision piece of engineering; a lock containing four moving pins, designed to prevent failure. Earlier locks of this type only had one moving pin, which could be prone to jamming.
